Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12058 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ «أَنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَصَابُوا رَجُلًا مِنْ عُظَمَاءِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَتَلُوهُ فَسَأَلُوهُ أَنْ يَشْتَرُوهُ فَنَهَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَبِيعُوا بِجِيفَتِهِ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Muslims captured a man from the leaders of the polytheists and killed him. They (the polytheists) asked to buy (his body), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade them from selling a corpse.
