English Translation
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man from the Ansar had two stallion camels that had become unruly. He put them in an enclosure and closed the door on them. Then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wanting him to supplicate for him while the Prophet was sitting with a group of the Ansar. He said: 'O Prophet of Allah, I have come with a request. My two stallion camels have become unruly, and I put them in an enclosure and closed the door on them. I would like you to supplicate that Allah tames them for me.' He said to his companions: 'Come with us.' He went until he reached the door and said: 'Open it.' The man feared for the Prophet. He said: 'Open it.' So he opened the door, and one of the two stallions was near the door. When it saw the Prophet, it prostrated to him. The Prophet said: 'Bring me something to tie its head so I can hand it over to you.' He brought a halter and tied its head and handed it to him. Then they walked to the far end of the enclosure to the other stallion. When it saw him, it fell prostrating to him. He said to the man: 'Bring me something to tie its head.' So he tied its head and handed it to him. He said: 'Go, they will not disobey you.' When the Companions of the Prophet saw this, they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, these two stallions that have no reason prostrated to you. Should we not prostrate to you?' He said: 'I do not command anyone to prostrate to anyone. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would command the wife to prostrate to her husband.'
