Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1155 حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ عَنْ رُمَيْحِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ الطَّائِيِّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ صَلَّيْنَا الظُّهْرَ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا انْفَتَلَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا غَضْبَانًا فَنَادَى بِصَوْتٍ أَسْمَعَ الْعَوَاتِقَ فِي أَجْوَافِ الْخُدُورِ فَقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَلَمْ يَدْخُلِ الْإِيمَانُ فِي قَلْبِهِ لَا تَذُمُّوا الْمُسْلِمِينَ لَا تَطْلُبُوا عَوْرَاتِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَطْلُبُ عَوْرَةَ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ هَتَكَ اللهُ سِتْرَهُ وأَبْدَا عَوْرَتَهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ فِي سِتْرِ بَيْتِهِ»
English Translation
Buraydah narrated: We prayed Dhuhr behind the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). When he finished his prayer, he turned to us angrily and called out in a voice that was heard by the young women in their chambers: "O community of those who have submitted outwardly but faith has not entered their hearts! Do not disparage the Muslims. Do not seek out their faults, for whoever seeks out the faults of his Muslim brother, Allah will seek out his faults, and whoever has his faults sought out by Allah, He will expose him even if he is inside his house."
