Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11617 حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ قَالَ «مَنْ خَالَفَ دِينُهُ دِينَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ» وَقَالَ «إِذَا شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ فَلَا سَبِيلَ إِلَيْهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِيَ شَيْئًا فَيُقَامُ عَلَيْهِ حَدُّهُ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated from the Messenger of Allah who said: 'Whoever's religion differs from the religion of the Muslims, strike his neck.' And he said: 'When he testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, there is no authority over him unless he commits something for which the prescribed punishment must be carried out.'
