English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) who had made a declaration of zihar against his wife and then had relations with her. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I made zihar against my wife and then had relations with her before expiating.' He said: 'What made you do that, may Allah have mercy on you?' He said: 'I saw her anklet in the moonlight.' He said: 'Do not approach her until you do what Allah the Exalted has commanded you.'
