Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1115 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ قَاعِدًا بِدِمَشْقَ فِي يَوْمٍ بَارِدٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَمَرَّ بِهِ بِلَالٌ مُؤَذِّنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا بِلَالُ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ؟ قَالَ «يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ»
English Translation
Abu Idris narrated: He was sitting in Damascus on a cold day performing ablution, and Bilal, the muezzin of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), passed by him. He said: "O Bilal, how did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) perform ablution?" He said: "He used to wipe over the leather socks and the head covering."
