Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11209 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا شَاذَانُ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ جَاءَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بسَفَرْ جَلِةٍ قَدِمَ بِهَا مِنَ الطَّائِفِ فَنَاوَلَهُ إِيَّاهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيَذْهَبُ بِطَخَاوَةِ الصَّدْرِ وَيَجْلُو الْفُؤَادَ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas reported that Jabir ibn Abdullah came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) with a Safar Jalah (a type of quince) that he had brought from Ta'if, and offered it to him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'It removes the heaviness of the chest and clears the heart.'
