Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11125 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ أنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَجَعَلْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Were it not that I would impose hardship on my Ummah, I would have made the use of the miswak (tooth stick) obligatory upon them at the time of every prayer.'
