English Translation
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that some young men from Banu Hashim came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, appoint us over this charity so we may benefit from it as the people do, and we will fulfill it as they do.' He said: 'Indeed, we, the family of Muhammad, charity is not permissible for us, for it is the impurities of the people. But what do you think, when I take hold of the ring of the gate of Paradise, will I give preference to anyone over you?'
