Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10851 حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُجَاشِعِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّا مَعَاشِرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نُعَجِّلَ الْإِفْطَارَ وَأَنْ نُؤَخِّرَ السَّحُورَ وَأَنْ نَضْرِبَ بِأَيْمَانِنَا عَلَى شمائِلِنا»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: 'We, the company of prophets, were commanded to hasten the breaking of the fast, to delay the pre-dawn meal (suhur), and to place our right hands upon our left hands (in prayer).'
