English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: "When the Prophet (peace be upon him) woke at night, he would use the tooth-stick, perform ablution, and recite {Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day...} to the end of the two verses. Then he would stand and pray two rak'ahs, then go back to sleep until he breathed heavily in sleep. Then he would get up and do the same. Then he would go back to bed, then stand and pray two rak'ahs, doing the same as the first time. Then he would perform witr with three rak'ahs."
