Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10583 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا بَسَّامٌ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَامِينَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ §لَمَّا مُرَّ بِجِنَازَةِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِالْحِيرَةِ وَهُوَ وَادٍ لَهُمْ جَاءَ طَائِرٌ أَبْيَضُ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْغُرْنُوقُ فَدَخَلَ فِي النَّعْشِ فَلَمْ يُرَ بَعْدُ
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Yamin's father reported that when the funeral of Ibn Abbas passed by al-Hirah — a valley of theirs — a white bird called the ghurnuq came and entered the bier, and was never seen again.
