English Translation
Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "There is no faith for the one who has no trustworthiness, and there is no religion for the one who does not keep his covenant. By the One in Whose hand is Muhammad's soul, the religion of a servant will not be upright until his tongue is upright, and his tongue will not be upright until his heart is upright, and no one will enter Paradise whose neighbor does not feel safe from his mischief." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is mischief (bawa'iq)?" He said: "His oppression and his injustice. And any man who earns wealth unlawfully and spends from it will not be blessed in it, and if he gives charity from it, it will not be accepted, and whatever remains is his provision to the Fire. Indeed, the impure does not expiate the impure; rather, the pure expiates the impure."
