English Translation

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the verse: 'So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded' (al-A'raf: 165) — He said: 'The people of the town were of three groups: a group that committed the sin, a group that forbade them, and a group that said: Why do you advise people whom Allah will destroy? As for the ones who committed the sin, they were destroyed. As for the ones who forbade them, they were saved. And as for the third group — we hope they were also saved.'
