Arabic (Original)
نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة آل عمران آية 97:" مَنْ إِنْ حَجَّ , لَمْ يَرَهُ بِرًّا، وَمَنْ تَرَكَهُ، لَمْ يَرَهُ إِثْمًا".
English Translation
Sa'id ibn Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the verse: 'Do not think that those who rejoice in what they have done and like to be praised for what they have not done — do not think them safe from the punishment' (Aal Imran: 188): This was revealed about the Jews, who rejoiced in their misleading of people and liked to be praised for being scholars without acting upon their knowledge.

مجاہد رحمہ اللہ نے اللہ عزوجل کے اس فرمان﴿وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾کے بارے میں فرمایا: جو شخص حج کرے، وہ اسے نیکی نہ سمجھے، اور جو اسے چھوڑ دے، وہ اسے گناہ نہ سمجھے۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 516]
