نا ناأَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْسَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنِالشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْشُتَيْرِ بْنِ شَكَلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَاعَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ" أَعْظَمَ آيَةٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: اللَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلا نَوْمٌ سورة البقرة آية 255 إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ, فَقَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ: صَدَقْتَ".
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The greatest verse in the Book of Allah the Almighty is: 'Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep' (al-Baqarah: 255) — to the end of the verse. Masruq confirmed: You have spoken the truth.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: کتاب اللہ عزوجل میں سب سے عظیم آیت﴿اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ﴾ہے، تو مسروق رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: آپ نے سچ فرمایا۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 426]
