Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَامُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْأَبِيهِ، عَنْأَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، قَالَ:" إِذَا حَضَرَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ فَلا يُسَافِرَنَّ فِيهِ أَحَدٌ، فَإِنْ كَانَ لا بُدَّ فَاعِلا، فَلْيَصُمْ إِذَا سَافَرَ".
English Translation
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The five long surahs are in place of the Torah, the surahs that are around one hundred verses are in place of the Psalms, the Mathani surahs are in place of the Gospel, and I was given preference with the Mufassal surahs."
Urdu Translation
ابو مجلز رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں: جب رمضان کا مہینہ آ جائے تو کوئی بھی سفر نہ کرے، اور اگر لازمی سفر کرنا ہو تو سفر میں روزہ رکھے۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 274]
