أنا أنا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَانَا، وَكَانَا جَالِسَيْنِ جَمِيعًا عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَوَّجَ أَمَةً لَهُ مِنْ غُلامٍ لَهُ وَكَانَ يُخَالِفُ إِلَيْهَا، فَأَرْسَلَعُمَرُإِلَى الرَّجُلِ، فَقَالَ:" مَا فَعَلَتْ أَمَتُكَ فُلانَةُ؟" فَقَالَ: زَوَّجْتُهَا مِنْ غُلامٍ لِي، قَالَ:" فَهَلْ تَنَالُ مِنْهَا؟" فَأَوْمَى إِلَيْهِ الْقَوْمُ مِنْ خَلْفِ عُمَرَ، أَنْ قُلْ: لا، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا: لَوْ قُلْتَ: نَعَمْ، لَجَعَلَكَ نَكَالا لِلْعَالَمِينَ، وَقَالَ الآخَرُ: لَوْ قُلْتَ: نَعَمْ، لَرَجَمَكَ.
English Translation
Nafi' reported: A companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) married his slave girl to his male slave, but then began having secret relations with her. Umar sent for the man and asked: "What happened to your slave girl so-and-so?" He said: "I married her to my slave." Umar asked: "Do you take anything from her?" The people behind Umar signaled to him to say no. One of the narrators said: "If he had said yes, Umar would have made an example of him." The other said: "If he had said yes, he would have been stoned."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک صحابی سے پوچھا:”تم نے اپنی باندی کا نکاح اپنے غلام سے کیا ہے، کیا تم خود بھی اس سے تعلق رکھتے ہو؟“اگر اس نے ہاں کہہ دی ہوتی تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اسے سخت سزا دیتے۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 3425]
