حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَاعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْشُعْبَةَ، عَنْمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ" يَخْتِمُ الْقُرْآنَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فِي ثَلاثٍ، وَفِي غَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ".
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever listens to a verse from the Book of Allah, a multiplied good deed will be recorded for him. And whoever recites it, it will be a light for him on the Day of Judgment."

سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ رمضان میں تین دن میں قرآن ختم کرتے اور غیر رمضان میں جمعہ سے جمعہ تک ختم کرتے تھے۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 150]
