Arabic (Original)
نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ:" الْغَيْضُ: الْحَيْضُ فِي الْحَمْلِ، فَلَهَا بِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ حَاضَتْ فِي حَمْلِهَا يَوْمٌ يَزْدَادُ فِي حَمْلِهَا حَتَّى تَتَوَفَّا الْحَمْلَ طَاهِرًا".
English Translation
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the verse: 'Those who fulfill the covenant of Allah and do not break the contract' (al-Ra'd: 20) — He said: 'This refers to the covenant Allah took from them in the time of Adam: "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes."'
Urdu Translation
عکرمہ رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا: غیض سے مراد حمل کے دوران حیض آنا ہے، اور ہر دن جو حیض کی حالت میں گزرتا ہے اس کے حمل میں ایک دن کا اضافہ ہوتا ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ حمل کو پاکیزہ حالت میں مکمل کر دے۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 1157]
