وعن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال : " لكل غادر لواء عند استه يوم القيامة يرفع له بقدر غدره، ألا لا غادر أعظم غدرًا من أمير عامة" ((رواه مسلم)).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be well pleased with him) said:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Every one who breaks a covenant will have a flag by his buttocks on the Day of Resurrection. It will be raised higher according to the nature of his breach. Behold, there will be no greater a sin with respect to breaking the covenant than that of a ruler who breaks his covenant with the Muslim masses.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہر عہد توڑنے والے کے لیے قیامت کے دن اس کی پیٹھ کے پاس ایک جھنڈا ہو گا جو اس کی بے وفائی کے بقدر بلند کیا جائے گا۔ خبردار! حکمرانِ عام سے بڑا کوئی بے وفا نہیں۔ (رواہ مسلم)
