Arabic (Original)
وعن أبي أمامة، رضي الله عنه أن رجلا قال: يا رسول الله ائذن لي في السياحة. فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : "إن سياحة أمتي الجهاد في سبيل الله، عز وجل" ((رواه أبو داود بإسناد جيد)).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that a man sought permission from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to travel in the land. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him, "Travel for my people is Jihad in the Cause of Allah, glory be to Him.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو امامہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مجھے سیاحت (زمین میں سفر) کی اجازت دیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: میری امت کی سیاحت اللہ عزوجل کی راہ میں جہاد ہے۔ (رواہ ابو داؤد، باسنادِ جید)
