Arabic (Original)
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "لئن بقيت إلى قابل لأصومن التاسع" ((رواه مسلم)).
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "If I remain alive till the next year, I shall also observe fast on the ninth of Muharram.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'اگر میں اگلے سال تک زندہ رہا تو نویں محرم کا بھی روزہ رکھوں گا۔'
