عن علي بن أبي طالب، رضي الله عنه قال كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي قلب العصر أربع ركعات يفصل بينهن بالتسليم على الملائكة المقربين ومن تبعهم من المسلمين والمؤمنين. رواه الترمذي وقال حديث حسن.
English Translation
Hadrat 'Ali bin Abu Talib (may Allah be well pleased with him)reported that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to perform four Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayer, separating them with Taslim (i.e., offering blessings) on the favourite angels who are near Allah's proximity and the Muslims and the believers who come after them..
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم فرماتے ہیں: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عصر سے پہلے چار رکعتیں پڑھا کرتے تھے اور ہر دو رکعت کے درمیان مقرب فرشتوں، نبیوں اور ان کے پیروکار مسلمانوں اور مومنوں پر سلام بھیج کر فاصلہ فرماتے۔
