Arabic (Original)
-وعن أبى هريرة رضي الله عنه، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “الإيمان بضع وسبعون، أو بضع وستون شعبة، فأفضلها قول لا إله إلا الله، وأدناها إماطة الأذى عن الطريق، والحياء شعبة من الإيمان” ((متفق عليه)) .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Iman has sixty odd or seventy odd branches. The uppermost of all these is the Testimony of Faith: 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no true god except Allah) while the least of them is the removal of harmful object from the road. And shyness is a branch of Iman.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ایمان کی ستر سے زائد یا ساٹھ سے زائد شاخیں ہیں۔ ان میں سب سے افضل لا إلہ إلا اللہ کہنا ہے اور سب سے کم تر راستے سے تکلیف دہ چیز ہٹانا ہے، اور حیا ایمان کی ایک شاخ ہے۔ (متفق علیہ)
