Arabic (Original)
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها أن رجلاً قال للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : إن أمي افتلتت نفسها وأراها لو تكلمت، تصدقت، فهل لها أجر إن تصدقت عنها؟ قال: "نعم" ((متفق عليه))
English Translation
Hadrat 'Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) reported that a man said to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): "My mother has died suddenly. I think that if she were able to talk (alive) she would have given in Sadaqah (charity). So, if I give Sadaqah now on her behalf, will she get the reward?" The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Yes (she will be rewarded for that).".
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: میری والدہ کا اچانک انتقال ہو گیا اور مجھے لگتا ہے کہ اگر وہ بول سکتیں تو صدقہ کرتیں، کیا اگر میں ان کی طرف سے صدقہ کروں تو انہیں ثواب ملے گا؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'ہاں۔'
