Arabic (Original)
وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "من اتبع جنازة مسلم إيماناً واحتساباً، وكان معه حتي يصلى عليها ويفرغ من دفنها، فإنه يرجع من الأجر بقيراطين كل قيراط مثل أحدٍ، ومن صلى عليها، ثم رجع قبل أن تدفن ، فإنه يرجع بقيراط” ((رواه البخاري)).
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Whosoever attends the funeral of a Muslim believing and hoping for the reward from Allah and remains with it until the prayer is offered over it and the burial is completed, he will return with a reward of two Qirat; each Qirat is equivalent to Mount Uhud; and whosoever offers his prayer over it and returns before its burial, he will come back with one Qirat.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'جو شخص ایمان اور ثواب کی نیت سے کسی مسلمان کے جنازے کے ساتھ جائے اور نماز جنازہ پڑھے اور دفن ہونے تک ساتھ رہے، وہ دو قیراط اجر لے کر لوٹتا ہے، ہر قیراط اُحد پہاڑ کے برابر ہے۔ اور جو نماز جنازہ پڑھ کر دفن سے پہلے لوٹ آئے، وہ ایک قیراط اجر لے کر لوٹتا ہے۔'
