Arabic (Original)
وعن أنس رضي الله عنه، قال: لم يأكل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على خوان حتى مات، وما أكل خبزاً مرققاً حتى مات. ((رواه البخاري)). (( وفي روايه له: ولا رأى شاة سميطاً بعينه قط)).
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) neither ate on a dining cloth, nor ate soft bread throughout his life..One narration adds: He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) never even saw a Samit lamb.Samit is an animal prepared for food by removing its hair by boiling water, and then roasted without being skinned. This type of food is preferred by wealthy people. (Editor's Note)
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے وفات تک کبھی دسترخوان پر کھانا نہیں کھایا، اور نہ کبھی باریک (میدے کی) روٹی کھائی۔ (رواہ البخاری) ایک اور روایت میں ہے: آپ نے کبھی اپنی آنکھوں سے بھنا ہوا مکمل بکرا نہیں دیکھا۔
