وعن جابر رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يجمع بين الرجلين من قتلى أحد يعني في القبر، ثم يقول: أيهما أكثر أخذًا للقرآن؟" فإذا أشير له إلى أحدهما قدمه في اللحد. ((رواه البخاري)).
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:After the battle of Uhud, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) arranged the burial of two of the martyrs in one grave. In each case he would ask, "Which one of them had learnt more Qur'an by heart?" Whichever was thus pointed out to him, was placed by him first in the Lahd..

حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم غزوۂ احد کے شہداء میں سے دو دو آدمیوں کو ایک قبر میں جمع فرماتے تھے، پھر پوچھتے: ان میں سے کسے قرآن زیادہ یاد ہے؟ جب ایک کی طرف اشارہ کیا جاتا تو اسے لحد میں آگے رکھتے۔
