Arabic (Original)
- وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها وعندها امرأة قال: من هذه؟ قالت: هذه فلانة تذكر من صلاتها قال: " مه عليكم بما تطيقون، فوالله لا يمل الله حتى تملوا" وكان أحب الدين إليه ما داوم صاحبه عليه. ((متفق عليه)) .
English Translation
Hadrat Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) reported that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came in when a woman was sitting beside me. He asked me, "Who is she?" I said: "She is the one whose performance of Salat (prayer) has become the talk of the town." Addressing her, he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said, "(What is this!) You are required to take upon yourselves only what you can carry out easily. By Allah, Allah does not withhold His Mercy and forgiveness of you until you neglect and give up (good works). Allah likes the deeds best which a worshipper can carry out constantly"..
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف لائے اور ان کے پاس ایک عورت بیٹھی تھی۔ آپ نے فرمایا: یہ کون ہے؟ عرض کیا: یہ فلاں ہے، اپنی (کثرت) نماز کا ذکر کرتی ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: بس! اتنا ہی کرو جتنی تمہاری طاقت ہو۔ اللہ کی قسم! اللہ تعالیٰ نہیں تھکتا جب تک تم نہ تھک جاؤ۔ آپ کو سب سے زیادہ پسندیدہ عمل وہ تھا جس پر اس کا کرنے والا ہمیشگی اختیار کرے۔ (متفق علیہ)
