Arabic (Original)
عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "إذا قال رجل لأخيه: يا كافر، فقد باء بها أحدهما، فإن كان كما قال وإلا رجعت عليه" ((متفق عليه)).
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them) said:The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "When a person calls his brother (in Islam) a disbeliever, one of them will certainly deserve the title. If the addressee is so as he has asserted, the disbelief of the man is confirmed, but if it is untrue, then it will revert to him.".
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جب کوئی شخص اپنے (مسلمان) بھائی کو کافر کہے تو ان دونوں میں سے ایک پر (کفر) لوٹ آتا ہے۔ اگر وہ ایسا ہی ہے جیسا کہا تو ٹھیک، ورنہ یہ کلمہ کہنے والے پر لوٹ آئے گا۔ (متفق علیہ)
