أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِوَقْتِ هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةِ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّيهَا لِسُقُوطِ الْقَمَرِ لِثَالِثَةٍ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat An-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of people about the time of the 'Isha' prayers. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray it when the moon set on the third night of the month
Urdu Translation
حضرت نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم فرماتے ہیں کہ اللہ کی قسم! میں اس نماز یعنی عشاء کا وقت لوگوں سے زیادہ جانتا ہوں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اسے تیسری تاریخ کا چاند ڈوبنے کے وقت پڑھتے تھے ۱؎۔
