أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلاَّمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ، أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ، مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ جَاءَتْ بِنْتُ هُبَيْرَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَفِي يَدِهَا فَتَخٌ - فَقَالَ كَذَا فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي أَىْ خَوَاتِيمَ ضِخَامٍ - فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَضْرِبُ يَدَهَا فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَشْكُو إِلَيْهَا الَّذِي صَنَعَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَانْتَزَعَتْ فَاطِمَةُ سِلْسِلَةً فِي عُنُقِهَا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَقَالَتْ هَذِهِ أَهْدَاهَا إِلَىَّ أَبُو حَسَنٍ فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالسِّلْسِلَةُ فِي يَدِهَا فَقَالَ " يَا فَاطِمَةُ أَيَغُرُّكِ أَنْ يَقُولَ النَّاسُ ابْنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَفِي يَدِهَا سِلْسِلَةٌ مِنْ نَارٍ " . ثُمَّ خَرَجَ وَلَمْ يَقْعُدْ فَأَرْسَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِالسِّلْسِلَةِ إِلَى السُّوقِ فَبَاعَتْهَا وَاشْتَرَتْ بِثَمَنِهَا غُلاَمًا - وَقَالَ مَرَّةً عَبْدًا - وَذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا فَأَعْتَقَتْهُ فَحُدِّثَ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْجَى فَاطِمَةَ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Asma' Ar-Rahabi (may Allah be well pleased with her) that Hadrat Thawban, the freed slave of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW], told him:"Hadrat Fatimah bint Hubairah came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] with a big ring on her hand." He (the narrator) said: "This is what I found in the book of my father, a huge ring."- "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] started hitting her hand, so she entered upon Hadrat Fatimah, the daughter of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW], and complained to her about what the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] had done. Hadrat Fatimah took off a gold chain from her neck and said: 'This was given to me by Abu Hasan.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] came in and (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) the chain in her hand. He said: 'O Hadrat Fatimah, would you like the people to say that the daughter of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] has a chain of fire in her hand?' Then he went out, without sitting down. Hadrat Fatimah sent the chain to the market and sold it, and she bought a slave with the money, and set him free. He was told of that and he said: 'Praise be to Allah, Who has saved Hadrat Fatimah from the Fire
Urdu Translation
حضرت ثوبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے آزاد کردہ غلام تھے، فرماتے ہیں کہ فاطمہ بنت حبیرہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آئیں اور ان کے ہاتھ میں سونے کی موٹی انگوٹھیاں تھیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان کے ہاتھ پر مارنا شروع کیا۔ پھر فاطمہ بنت حبیرہ اُمّ المؤمنین حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے پاس گئیں اور ان سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا فعل بیان کیا۔ حضرت فاطمہ نے اپنی سونے کی زنجیر اتار لی اور فرمایا: یہ ابو حسن (حضرت علی) کی ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے وہ زنجیر دیکھ کر ارشاد فرمایا: اے فاطمہ! کیا تم خوش ہو کہ لوگ کہیں فاطمہ بنتِ محمد کے ہاتھ میں آگ کی زنجیر ہے؟ پھر آپ نکل گئے اور رکے نہیں۔ فاطمہ نے وہ زنجیر بیچ دی اور اس سے ایک غلام خریدا اور آزاد کر دیا۔
