Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ زِرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ إِنَّهُ لَعَهْدُ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّكَ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَبْغُضُكَ إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Zirr (may Allah be well pleased with him) said:Hadrat 'Ali said: "The Unlettered the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] made a covenant with me, that none but a believer would love me, and none but a hypocrite would hate me
Urdu Translation
حضرت زرّ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم نے فرمایا: نبی اُمّی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مجھ سے عہد فرمایا تھا کہ تم سے صرف مؤمن ہی محبت کرے گا اور تم سے صرف منافق ہی بغض رکھے گا۔
