أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ زَهْدَمٍ الْيَرْبُوعِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ فِي أُنَاسٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلاَءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ قَتَلُوا فُلاَنًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهَتَفَ بِصَوْتِهِ " أَلاَ لاَ تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى الأُخْرَى " .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Tha'labah bin Zahdam (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "some people from Banu Tha'labah came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) when he was delivering a speech and a man said; "O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), these are Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu' who killed so and so' - one of the Companions of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "No soul is affected by the sin of another
Urdu Translation
حضرت ثعلبہ بن زہدم یربوعی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم انصار کے کچھ لوگوں کو خطبہ دے رہے تھے۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ بنو ثعلبہ بن یربوع ہیں، انہوں نے فلاں شخص کو زمانۂ جاہلیت میں قتل کیا تھا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بلند آواز سے ارشاد فرمایا: خبردار! کوئی نفس دوسرے نفس کے جُرم کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا۔
