Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حُجَيْنٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ، تَصَدَّقَ بِفَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَوَجَدَهَا تُبَاعُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاسْتَأْمَرَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Salim bin Hadrat 'Abdullah that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar used to narrate (may Allah be well pleased with him) that:'Umar give a house in charity for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and he found it being offered for sale after that. He wanted to buy it, then he went to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and asked him about that. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not take back what you have given in charity
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے ایک گھوڑا اللہ کی راہ میں صدقہ کیا، اس کے بعد انہیں معلوم ہوا کہ وہ بیچا جا رہا ہے۔ تو انہوں نے اسے خریدنے کا ارادہ کیا، وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، اور آپ سے اس بارے میں اجازت طلب کی تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اپنا صدقہ واپس نہ لو“۔
