أَخْبَرَنِي زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الْحُرِّ بْنِ صَيَّاحٍ، عَنْ هُنَيْدَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، قَالَتْ حَدَّثَتْنِي بَعْضُ، نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَتِسْعًا مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ أَوَّلَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ وَخَمِيسَيْنِ .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Hunaidah bin Khalid that his wife (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "One of the wives of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to fast on the day of 'Ashura, nine days of Dhul-Hijjah and three days each month: The first Monday of the month, and two Thursday
Urdu Translation
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ایک زوجہ مطہرہ (اُمّ المؤمنین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا) فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عاشوراء کے روز، ذی الحجہ کے نو دنوں میں، ہر مہینے کے تین دنوں میں یعنی: مہینہ کے پہلے دوشنبہ ( پیر ) کو اور پہلے اور دوسرے جمعرات کو روزہ رکھتے تھے۔
