Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، وَعَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ، - خَتَنَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَتَحْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ - اسْتُحِيضَتْ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ اسْتَفْتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ وَلَكِنْ هَذَا عِرْقٌ فَاغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي " .
English Translation
It was narrated from Hadrat 'Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) that Hadrat Umm Habibah, an in-law of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who was married to 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf, suffered Istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding) for seven years. She consulted the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about that and the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:'That is not menstruation, rather that is a vein, so perform Ghusl and pray
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی سالی حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین ام حبیبہ کو، جو حضرت عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف کے عقد میں تھیں، سات سال تک استحاضہ کا خون آتا رہا، اس سلسلے میں انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے مسئلہ پوچھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: یہ حیض کا خون نہیں ہے، بلکہ یہ ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے، لہٰذا تم غسل کر کے نماز پڑھ لیا کرو ۔
