Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَسْجِدِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ فَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَجَعَلُوا يَنْتَظِرُونَهُ فَجَاءَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُوتِرُ . قَالَ وَسُئِلَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ هَلْ بَعْدَ الأَذَانِ وَتْرٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَبَعْدَ الإِقَامَةِ . وَحَدَّثَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ نَامَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى .
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibrahim (upon him be peace) bin Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) Al-Muntashir, from his father, that:He was in the masjid of 'Amr bin Shurahbil and the iqamah for prayer was said, and they were waiting. He came and said: "I was praying witr." Hadrat Abdullah was asked: "Is there any witr after the adhan?" He said: "Yes, and after the Iqamah." And he narrated that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) once slept and missed the prayer until the sun had risen, then he prayed
Urdu Translation
محمد بن منتشر کہتے ہیں کہ وہ عمرو بن شرحبیل کی مسجد میں تھے، کہ اتنے میں اقامت ہو گئی، تو لوگ ان کا انتظار کرنے لگے، وہ آئے اور کہا: میں وتر پڑھ رہا تھا، اور کہا: حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم سے پوچھا گیا: کیا اذان کے بعد وتر ہے، تو کہا: ہاں، اور اقامت کے بعد بھی ہے، اور انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز سے سوئے رہ گئے یہاں تک کہ سورج نکل آیا، پھر آپ نے ( اٹھ کر ) نماز پڑھی۔
