English Translation

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say: 'There is no god but Allah.' When they say it, their blood and their wealth become protected from me except by legal right, and their reckoning is with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic." Then he recited: "You are only a reminder; you are not a controller over them" [Al-Ghashiyah: 21-22].
