English Translation
Narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the major sins?" three times. They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Associating partners with Allah, and disobedience to parents." He was reclining, then he sat up and said: "And indeed, false speech and false testimony, and indeed, false speech and false testimony." He kept repeating it until we said: "If only he would stop."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے راستے میں اناج کا ایک ڈھیر دیکھا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنا ہاتھ اس کے اندر ڈالا تو انگلیوں پر تری آ گئی۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے پوچھا کہ اے اناج کے مالک یہ کیا ہے؟ وہ بولا یا رسول اللہ! یہ بارش سے بھیگ گیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ پھر تو نے اس بھیگے ہوئے اناج کو اوپر کیوں نہ رکھا کہ لوگ دیکھ لیتے؟ جو شخص دھوکہ دے وہ مجھ سے کچھ تعلق نہیں رکھتا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 947]
