English Translation
Narrated Khaythamah: We were sitting with Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) when his steward came, and he asked: Have you given the slaves their provision? He said: No. So he said: Go and give them their provision, for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "It is enough sin for a man that he withhold the provision from those whose provision is his responsibility." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 884]
Urdu Translation
خیثمہ کہتے ہیں کہہم سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ ان کا داروغہ آیا، تو انہوں نے پوچھا کہ تم نے غلاموں کو خرچ دیدیا؟ اس نے کہا نہیں تو انہوں نے کہا کہ جاؤ اور ان کا خرچ دیدو اس لئے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ہے کہ آدمی کو اتنا ہی گناہ کافی ہے کہ جس کا خرچ اس کے ذمہ ہو، اس کا خرچ روک دے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 884]
