English Translation
Narrated Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): She said: Formerly there was revealed in the Qur'an the ruling that ten sucklings establish prohibition. Then this was abrogated, and it was revealed that five sucklings are a cause of prohibition. And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed away while this was (still) being recited in the Qur'an. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 879]
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہےانہوں نے کہا پہلے قرآن میں یہ حکم اترا تھا کہ دس بار دودھ چوسنے سے حرمت ثابت ہوتی ہے۔ پھر یہ منسوخ ہو گیا اور یہ نازل ہوا کہ پانچ بار دودھ چوسنا حرمت کا سبب ہے۔ اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی وفات ہوئی تو یہ قرآن میں پڑھا جاتا تھا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 879]
