English Translation
Narrated Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was with her when A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) heard a voice — someone was seeking permission to enter at the door of Umm al-Mu'minin Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her). So A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Someone is asking permission to enter your house. He (peace be upon him) said: "I think it is so-and-so, the foster-uncle (paternal) of Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her)." Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! If so-and-so (my own foster paternal uncle) were alive, could he come to my house? He (peace be upon him) said: "Yes; through foster-relationship (rada'ah) the same prohibition is established as through birth." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 874]
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمان کے پاس تشریف فرما تھے کہ عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ایک آواز سنی کہ کوئی شخص ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے دروازے پر اندر آنے کی اجازت چاہتا ہے، تو عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! کوئی شخص آپ کے گھر پر اندر آنے کی اجازت مانگتا ہے، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ میں خیال کرتا ہوں کہ یہ فلاں شخص ہے جو حفصہ (رضی اللہ عنہا) کا رضاعی چچا ہے۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اگر فلاں شخص (اپنے رضاعی چچا) زندہ ہوتا تو کیا میرے گھر آ سکتا تھا؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ہاں، رضاعت سے بھی ویسے ہی حرمت ثابت ہوتی ہے جیسی ولادت سے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 874]
