English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "All of my Ummah are forgiven except those who make (their sins) public. And making public is that a person does some (evil) deed at night, and when morning comes, though Allah the Exalted has concealed it (that evil deed) for him, he himself says: 'O so-and-so! Last night I did such-and-such (evil) deed' — whereas he had done the evil deed at night, and Allah the Exalted had concealed it. At night the Lord conceals it, and in the morning this person removes Allah's concealment." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 832]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ میری تمام امت معاف کی ہوئی ہے مگر ظاہر کرنے والے اور ظاہر کرنا یہ ہے کہ کوئی شخص رات کوئی (برا) عمل کرتا ہے، جب صبح ہوتی ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس (اس برے کام) پر پردہ ڈال دیا ہوتا ہے لیکن وہ خود کہتا ہے کہ اے فلاں! آج رات میں نے فلاں (برا) عمل کیا ہے، حالانکہ اس نے رات کو برا عمل کیا تھا (اور) اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس پر پردہ ڈال دیا تھا۔ رات کو رب پردہ ڈالتا ہے اور صبح کو یہ (شخص) اللہ تعالیٰ کے پردے کو ہٹا دیتا ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 832]
