English Translation
Narrated Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw a trace of yellowness on Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "What is this?" He said: O Messenger of Allah! I have married a woman for a dowry of gold equal to a date-stone. So he (peace be upon him) said: "May Allah bless you. Hold a wedding feast (walimah), even if with a single sheep." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 819]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے سیدنا عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ پر زردی کا اثر دیکھا تو فرمایا کہ یہ کیا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! میں نے ایک عورت سے کھجور کی گٹھلی بھر سونے کے مہر پر نکاح کیا ہے، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں برکت دے، ولیمہ کرو اگرچہ ایک بکری کا ہو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 819]
