English Translation
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to a woman from among the Ansar, who was called Umm Sinan, "Why do you not go with us for the Hajj?" So she said, "Our husband had only two camels: on one he and his son have gone for the Hajj, and on the other our servant brings water." So he (peace be upon him) said, "'Umra in Ramadan is equal to a Hajj" (or he said, "equal to performing the Hajj with us").
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انصار میں سے ایک عورت سے، جس کو ام سنان کہا جاتا تھا، فرمایا کہ تم ہمارے ساتھ حج کو کیوں نہیں چلتی؟ تو اس نے کہا کہ ہمارے شوہر کے پاس دو ہی اونٹ تھے ایک پر وہ اور ان کا لڑکا حج کو گیا ہے اور دوسرے پر ہمارا غلام پانی لاتا ہے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ رمضان میں عمرہ حج کے برابر ہے (یا فرمایا کہ ہمارے ساتھ حج کرنے کے برابر ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 757]
