English Translation
Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying openly, not secretly: "The family of so-and-so are not my close allies. Rather, my Protector is Allah and the righteous believers."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سناآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمچپکے سے نہیں بلکہ پکار کر فرماتے تھے کہ فلاں کی اولاد میری عزیز نہیں بلکہ میرا مالک یعنی دوست اللہ ہے اور میرے عزیز وہ مومن ہیں جو نیک ہوں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 59]
