English Translation
The Mother of the Believers Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to visit Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him), and at that time his eyes had become fixed upward (that is, he had died). So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) closed his eyes and said: When the soul departs, the eyes follow after it. Some of the people of his household began to weep, so he said: Supplicate only good for yourselves, because the angels say Amin to your words. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) supplicated: "O Allah! Forgive Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him), raise his rank among the guided, be a successor over the loved ones he has left behind, and make his grave spacious and bright for him. O Lord of all the worlds! Forgive us too, and forgive him too." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim/Hadith: 456]
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمابوسلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی عیادت کو آئے اور اس وقت ان کی آنکھیں چڑھ گئی تھیں، (یعنی فوت ہو چکے تھے) تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کی آنکھیں بند کر دیں اور فرمایا: جب جان نکلتی ہے تو آنکھیں اس کے پیچھے لگی رہتی ہیں۔ ان کے گھر والوں میں سے لوگوں نے رونا شروع کر دیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اپنے لئے اچھی ہی دعا کرو اس لئے کہ فرشتے تمہاری باتوں پر آمین کہتے ہیں۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دعا کی کہ”اے اللہ! ابوسلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو بخش دے اور ان کا درجہ ہدایت والوں میں بلند کر اور تو ان کے باقی رہنے والے عزیزوں میں خلیفہ ہو جا اور ان کی قبر ان کے لئے کشادہ اور روشن کر دے۔ اے تمام جہانوں کے پالنے والے! ہمیں بھی بخش دے اور ان کو بھی“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 456]
