English Translation
Narrated Abu Rifa'ah (may Allah be pleased with him): I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) while he was delivering the sermon. He said: I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! A poor stranger (traveler) has come to inquire about his religion and does not know what his religion is." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) turned towards me and, leaving his sermon, came to me. A chair was brought, and I think its legs were of iron, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sat upon it (from which it is known that sitting on a chair is not forbidden) and began to teach me what Allah had taught him. Then he came back and completed his sermon. (This was perfect character, and it is known that a necessary matter is permissible during the sermon.) [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim/Hadith: 417]

سیدنا ابورفاعہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمخطبہ ارشاد فرما رہے تھے۔ کہتے ہیں، میں نے عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! ایک مرد غریب (مسافر) اپنا دین دریافت کرنے کو آیا ہے اور نہیں جانتا ہے کہ اس کا دین کیا ہے۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیری طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور اپنا خطبہ چھوڑ کر میرے پاس تک آ گئے اور ایک کرسی لائی گئی، میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ اس کے پائے لوہے کے تھے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماس پر بیٹھ گئے (معلوم ہوا کہ کرسی پر بیٹھنا منع نہیں) اور مجھے سکھانے لگے جو اللہ نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو سکھایا تھا۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے آ کر خطبہ کو تمام کیا۔ (یہ کمال خلق تھا اور معلوم ہوا کہ ضروری بات خطبہ میں روا ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 417]
